e-Yantra is a robotics and embedded systems education initiative started by Indian Institute of Technology Bombay with support from the Ministry of Education, Government of India. Its main objective is to promote practical learning in robotics, embedded systems, IoT, and automation among engineering students and faculty members across India.
An e-Yantra Lab is established in CITNC under the e-Yantra Lab Setup Initiative (eLSI). This lab provide infrastructure, robotics kits, sensors, microcontrollers, and training support for students and faculty. The labs focus on project-based learning and help students develop problem-solving, programming, and hardware integration skills.
Hands-On Learning Experience
eYRC complements and enhances your engineering curriculum with practical, real-world problem-solving challenges guided by expert mentors.
Online Competition Conducted completely online over 5-6 months in "LEARNING while COMPETING" mode.
Major Activities Conducted in eyantra lab
The e-Yantra Lab regularly organizes robotics workshops and hands-on training programs to provide students with practical exposure to emerging technologies. Students are trained in embedded systems programming using platforms such as Arduino, Raspberry Pi, ESP32, and other microcontrollers, enabling them to develop innovative hardware and software solutions. The lab also encourages active participation in the e-Yantra Robotics Competition (eYRC), where students work on real-world problem statements and enhance their technical, analytical, and teamwork skills. In addition, the lab conducts innovation challenges and hackathons to promote creativity, problem-solving abilities, and interdisciplinary learning among students. Faculty development programs and teacher training sessions are also organized to equip faculty members with advanced technical knowledge and modern teaching methodologies in robotics and embedded systems.
