Change is the only constant thing in life and with the change being so dramatic, what’s taught today may well be obsolete in 5 years time. Jobs exist now that we had never heard of 10 years ago and 10 years from now, the world will be a very different place and so will be the workplace. So, it’s extremely critical that the students’ are well exposed, their foundations are strong and they have an inquisitive mind to learn the latest and greatest of technologies that are yet to come. With this in mind, Cambridge Institute of Technology – North Campus conducts a number of workshops, seminars and conferences for students to build a strong foundation to take on any challenge that may come their way in the future.
International conference on Science, Engineering and Management on 24th and 25th of January, 2020
A two day workshop on Android application development on 15th and 16th of November, 2019
We also motivate students to collaborate with faculty members and present technical papers in National conferences. The result is that every student would have presented 3-4 technical papers by the time they graduate which is a great positive at the time of placements. None of this is mandatory and is beyond the syllabus but we get our students to do it
We recognise the importance of community volunteering, social empathy and reaching out to someone in need. We frequently have events where we works with villagers, orphanages, conduct blood donation drives, dental and eye testing camps. It is common to see our students volunteering in groups, working as teams thereby developing strong bonds with each other. Witnessing the problems of a community can enhance their emotional intelligence, pull their compassion strings for the less fortunate, and appreciate what they have. Community volunteering is a grounding experience and for the young, it has the potential to shape the adult individuals they become.
We treat every student like an ACHIEVER. The motivation that a student gets when they receives a pat on the back and some positive words as against harassing and targeting them for performing poorly is unexplainable. This simple exercise has helped students make continuous progress. Most of our students are doing much better than their 10th and Plus 2 which provides a glimpse of the value addition that happens at Cambridge Institute of Technology – North Campus
We provide 6 free textbooks to every student at the beginning of each semester. Students are expected to keep the books for the entire semester in good condition and return them only after semester exams; ensuring that the books are available with students while preparing for Exams. Students don’t have to buy books. This ensures savings as high as Rs. 50,000 for the 4-year engineering program.
We also celebrate most of the festivals, have Ethnic day, sports competition, college fest, DJ night among other events every year.
