The Examination Section plays a pivotal role in maintaining the integrity, transparency, and efficiency of the assessment and evaluation process. Our objective is to ensure the smooth conduct of examinations in accordance with the regulations and guidelines prescribed by the University and the Institution.

We are committed to providing a fair, secure, and student-centric examination system through the adoption of best practices, digital technologies, and continuous process improvements. The Examination Office coordinates all activities related to examination scheduling, question paper management, conduct of examinations, evaluation processes, result processing, and the issuance of academic records.

Students are encouraged to stay informed about examination notifications, schedules, and regulations through the official communication channels of the institution. We also seek the cooperation of faculty members, staff, and students in upholding the highest standards of academic honesty and discipline during examinations.

About COE Office

The Examination Policy of CITNC is framed in accordance with the regulations of Visvesvaraya Technological University. The institution ensures that all students are treated with respect and impartiality throughout the assessment process. Student learning assessments are conducted in a transparent manner, applied consistently, and aligned with the stated course objectives. Students are provided with timely and constructive feedback on their academic performance at regular intervals to support continuous improvement.

Objectives

• To establish and maintain an efficient, transparent, and disciplined examination system in accordance with the regulations of the affiliating University (VTU).
• To implement an effective and efficient grievance redressal mechanism to address examination-related issues promptly and fairly.

Examination Cell

The Examination Cell is a confidential body with the responsibility of conduction of both Internal Assessment Test (CIE) and Semester End Examinations (SEE). The Exam Cell functions with the guide lines of Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU) regarding all matters related to IAT and SEE of the institute.

Plan for CIE and SEE Examinations

. The Controller of Examinations (COE), in consultation with the Principal and Heads of Departments (HoDs), shall prepare the Internal Assessment Test Calendar before the commencement of the academic year in alignment with the academic calendar of Visvesvaraya Technological University. The calendar shall be reviewed and approved by the HoDs Council and subsequently circulated by the COE Office to all stakeholders for effective planning and implementation of examination-related activities.

. Semester End Examinations for both theory and practical courses shall be conducted in accordance with the notifications issued by Visvesvaraya Technological University. The Examination Cell shall prepare and publish the timetable for internal assessment test for theory examinations and external laboratory examinations as per the prescribed schedule and guidelines of the Visvesvaraya Technological University.
