Institution's Innovation Council (IIC) is an initiative of the Ministry of Education (MoE), implemented through the MoE Innovation Cell (MIC) in collaboration with All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). It was launched in 2018 to promote innovation, entrepreneurship, startups, and intellectual property awareness in higher educational institutions.
CITNC has established the Institution's Innovation Council (IIC) in the year 2022 with the objective of fostering a culture of innovation, entrepreneurship, and research among students and faculty members. Since its inception, the IIC has been actively organizing and participating in various activities and initiatives conducted by the Ministry of Education's Innovation Cell (MIC) and AICTE.
CITNC regularly conducts innovation, entrepreneurship, intellectual property rights (IPR), startup, and research-related programs, along with national celebrations and awareness activities. With enthusiastic participation from both faculty and students, the IIC has created a vibrant ecosystem that encourages creative thinking, problem-solving, project development, and engagement in prestigious programs such as Smart India Hackathon, YUKTI Innovation Challenge, and other innovation-driven initiatives. It helps the students to transform innovative ideas into prototypes, patents, startups and successful careers while gaining national level exposure and recognition.
